Educational Programs
Port-Aux-Poutines firmly believes that art and culture are essential drivers of French language learning. They offer schools interactive workshops and concerts tailored to the realities of students, whether in francophone schools or in immersion programs. Through music, students explore the history of Canada's francophone communities, celebrate their cultural diversity, and strengthen their connection to the French language in a lively and unifying way. The song Chapeau, selected for Manie Musicale 2026, has allowed the duo to bring this educational approach to more than 900,000 students learning French in 38 countries.
Jenna and Axel each bring a distinct path to the French language. Jenna discovered French through immersion programs, while Axel grew up in a francophone family. This dual perspective informs their pedagogical approach and allows them to connect with all students, regardless of their relationship to the language.
Interactive School Workshop - Chapeau a la Francophonie!
In the intimate, energetic atmosphere of a Newfoundland kitchen party, Port-Aux-Poutines shares their journey and their music. The group invites students to actively discover the nuances of French-Canadian and Newfoundland traditional music. The duo also presents the importance of francophone culture in Newfoundland and Labrador and across Canada through the song Chapeau from Manie Musicale 2026. The workshop is adapted according to age level and language.

School Concert - Franco-Newfoundland Music Concert
For large assemblies and schools wishing to discover the musical world of Port-Aux-Poutines, this concert offers a festive experience accessible to all grade levels. Jenna and Axel perform songs that reflect each of their backgrounds, highlighting the similarities and differences between French-Canadian and Newfoundland folk music. Students are invited to take part through call-and-response songs and by joining the group with podorythmie. The concert is adapted according to age level and language.
